The steering wheel turns the shaft of the power steering mechanism. The side view of this in the upper inset infers an electric motor driving a worm gear. The effort of the motor is added to that of Andy. The shaft then drives the input shaft of the steering rack. The universal joints handle misalignment between their input & output shafts. The steering rack is another worm drive, with its output shafts connected to the uprights, so it pulls & pushes them as shown in the plan view, straight ahead, & the lower inset, turning right. This means that the uprights turn about an axis shown by a dash-dot line in the side elevation & a dash-dot circle in the plan.

But, looking at the Genome, there is no axis. In the picture below, on the right, can be seen the steering rack output shaft connected to the upright, & the upper suspension member connected to the upright. Perhaps the latter connection is a spherical joint - in which case so far so good - but on the left the picture from the Genome shows the two lower suspension members mooring the upright to the chassis in such a manner that the upright cannot turn.
